AS: Milan among teams interested in expiring Real Madrid defender

By Isak Möller -

With the January window approaching, AC Milan have decided to take a look at a few players on expiring contracts. After Houssem Aouar, Real Madrid man Nacho Fernandez has now also been linked with the club.

Once there are just six months left on a player’s contract, provided that the player is above a certain age, he’s free to negotiate with any club. Milan are thus monitoring a few expiring players as January is approaching fast.

In addition to Houssem Aouar of Lyon, Milan have now also been linked with Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez. This was reported by the Spanish outlet AS, stating that the Rossoneri wanted to sign him in the summer.

The likes of Roma and Wolves are also following the situation closely, but a move to MLS cannot be ruled out for the Spaniard. Nacho can play both as a right-back and a centre-back, and he could perhaps be an option for the former role at Milan.
