Diario AS: Milan, Juventus and Man Utd want €40m-rated Bologna defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to sign a new central defender during the summer transfer window and they have an eye on one of the emerging stars at Bologna, a report claims.

Milan’s defensive department is the one that has been under the most stress this season, with a number of different injuries plunging Stefano Pioli’s side into an emergency at multiple points.

Simon Kjaer is on an expiring contract and is likely to part ways with the club, while Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw have been linked with an exit. The likes of Alessandro Buongiorno and Giorgio Scalvini have been linked.

According to what is being reported by the Spanish source AS (via NotizieMilan), Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a big admirer of Jhon Lucumì. The 25-year-old Colombian has been a cornerstone of a Bologna side that are looking to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

However, the problem with the season that Rossoblu are having is that the valuation of their best players continues to rise with each week, such is the speed of their development under Thiago Motta.

The report claims that Lucumì is attracting interest from Milan and Juventus in Italy and Manchester United in England. His contract with Bologna will expire in 2026, and they are asking for €40m in order to sell him.
