AS: Milan and Napoli keen on Real Betis midfielder amid contract stalemate

AC Milan and their Serie A rivals Napoli are both interested in signing midfielder Guido Rodríguez from Real Betis, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Diario AS, both Milan and Napoli have shown an interest in signing the 29-year-old Rodriguez, who amassed 44 appearances and two goals with Betis last season.

He was crowned a world champions with Argentina at the World Cup, and during the celebrations for Betis’ third consecutive qualification for the Europa League, the fans asked him to stay.

However, the midfielder’s contract ends in 2024 and at the moment it does not seem that there is room to extend his relationship with Betis, so they will be forced to listen to offers.

Milan and Napoli are both looking for midfielders and they are monitoring his situation and asking for information. The Rossoneri are experiencing a revolution after the sackings of Maldini and Massara, but they and Napoli are not the only clubs interested.
