Samu Castillejo said goodbye to AC Milan earlier this month having gone back to his native Spain, but Valencia have run into trouble regarding his transfer.
According to what AS are reporting (as cited by SempreMilan.it), Valencia are currently unable to register the winger due to LaLiga rules regarding Financial Fair Play. These regulations have limited the activity of many clubs in recent months as seen with Barcelona, who have announced the signings of Frank Kessie and Andreas Christensen but there is still some doubt as to whether they will actually be available.
Now Valencia are also in a position where they must review their balance sheet. It is likely that the club will make a sale to be able to register Castillejo and satisfy head coach Gennaro Gattuso.
They could even reach an agreement with the federation that would allow more room for business on the market, but what does seem certain is that Castillejo will not return to Milan.
