AC Milan Women managed to beat Roma last night by two goals to one, advancing to the final of the Supercoppa Italiana. In the meantime, work is underway to reinforce the squad on the market.

- In response to the recent rumors about Milan’s interest in Kosovare Asllani, the Swedish forward’s agent has poured cold water on the idea.
In an interview with Aftonbladet, Arash Bayat, who is Asllani’s agent, claims that the story about Raffaele De Luca acting as an intermediary to facilitate the move to Milan is “a lie”. Bayat also claims that they’ve “never heard of him” and that Kosovare’s contract expiring in the summer does not necessarily mean the forward will move to Milan. Therefore, the ‘move’ is over before it even started.
- Three players for the women’s team have tested positive for COVID-19, the team has confirmed. The club has not named the players but Nina Stapelfeldt confirmed that she did test positive for the virus. As a result, she and three other players will most likely miss the Supercoppa Femminile final on Saturday.
- On Wednesday, the United States Soccer Federation announced the dates, venues, and participants for the upcoming She Believes Cup. One of the countries that will be participating in the competition, is Iceland. Milan’s very own Guðný Árnadóttir is a mainstay for the Icelandic team and will be participating in the February tournament. The matches for the cup will be played on February 17th, the 20th, and the 23rd, in venues in both Carson, CA, and Frisco, TX.
- Yesterday, in a lead-up to the Supercoppa Femminile semi-final, the Corriere della Sera published a piece about the situation with Valentina Giacinti and AC Milan. The periodical claims that most of the Milan players backed Giacinti in her conflict with coach Maurizio Ganz.
- Milan, however, chose to back the coach instead. As a result, Valentina is currently on the way out of Milan. Their most likely destination is AS Roma, with the transfer being stalled due to Roma’s insistence in adding a buyout clause for the player when the season ends.
