There may soon be some movement regarding Rafael Leao’s future, with Aston Villa having registered interested.

Leao’s statements at the end of last season left no doubt that the winger considers his time at Milan to be over, while the club too were thinking about a farewell anyway. However, as of right now, the most important thing is missing: offers.

Leao hopes to play in a top league like the Premier League, but to date no concrete bids appear to have arrived. Manchester United are in the background, Claudio Raimondi reports on SportMediaset (via MilanNews), but only in the event of Marcus Rashford leaving.

Leao latest: Aston Villa interest

Today’s news concerns Unai Emery’s Aston Villa who are already in contact with Milan regarding Pervis Estupinan. The Villains have just sold Morgan Rodgers to Chelsea for over €130m and are looking for a replacement.

The Birmingham club can offer Champions League football and are looking for a player who can play on the left side of the attack. It remains to be seen whether Leao would approve of the move, and if the Estupinan sale could become a double deal.

Leao’s departure will also be important in terms of revenue. If an agreement is reached for his departure, Milan will be strongly interested in Konstantinos Karetsas of Genk Dortmund are keen on the Greek and have already submitted offers of up to €27m, which the Belgian club rejected.

If Leao leaves soon, the Rossoneri could try to secure this talent, who has made a significant impression on both Gerry Cardinale and the club’s entire scouting team. Other possible sales include Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori, also to English clubs.

  1. Lmao 130 million for Rodgers. Got to hand it to Aston Villa. They committed a robbery. Now can our management do a similar robbery when selling players?

    1. Nottingham Forrest and Newcastle committed robberies as well. Smaller EPL clubs are known for that

  2. Get rid of him already. The best profit to make out of him is to just get rid of him…send him to play in some serbian league or whatever and then we’ll see him and his diva antics.

  3. Estupinan + Leao (Aston Villa) = 70-80 million
Tomori + RLC (Coventry City) = 20-30 million
    Bondo + Ricci + Fofana = 50-60 million
    *(Musah + Chukwueze + Gimenez) = 60-70 million

    IN TOTAL: 220 million €

  4. Yes please. With only 60 mil you’ll be guaranteed to get your team a talent of the generation. Who is extremely adaptive and flexible. A game changer week in week out. On top of that, willing to sacrifice himself and always pushing hard for the team. Such a bargain right?

  5. Milan shouldn’t accept anything less than 75m for Leao. That’s Aston Villa price. They can afford it. Please sell him asap.

  6. JOH-HN Legend is in the house!! 😀

He thinks every English player is talented? lmao

All he talks is cost and $, and accounting. just like the same mindset as his ‘Boss’ Cardale. That’s great!
