Atalanta are ready to make a serious attempt to sign Yunus Musah late in the summer window, another report has claimed.
In the past couple of days, rumours have ramped up regarding the potential sale of Musah to Atalanta, even if it were to strengthen a possible top four rival and to leave little time to find a replacement.

Serious attempt imminent
According to Calciomercato.com, Atalanta are looking to follow up the signings of Zalewski from Inter and Krstovic from Lecce (for a combined €42m) with the addition of another midfield player, and Musah is their target.
La Dea’s interest is concrete, and negotiations have progressed despite a couple of obstacles. The first concerns Milan’s coach Max Allegri, who initially vetoed the exit. He wanted him to stay, even if he would be behind Modrić, Jashari, Ricci, Loftus-Cheek and Fofana.

In recent hours, however, the coach’s intentions have softened. This is partly due to pressure from the American, who yearns for more consistent playing time and knows he would give Ederson and De Roon a break at Atalanta, with the possibility of playing in the Champions League.
In the end Allegri could give in, but a second obstacle has emerged: aware of the strong interest from Percassi, Milan have raised the price of the former Valencia man from an initial €25m up to €30m. It is a hefty sum, considering Atalanta have already spent over €120m in this transfer window.
This price tag is dictated by Musah’s international experience and above all his versatility, as he can play in midfield and out wide, very useful for Ivan Juric’s 3-4-2-1 formation. However, the Nerazzurri aren’t giving up and are now considering their next move.

Please Atalanta give Milan 50m for musah + chukwueze combined.
more like Musah + 20 for Lookman
easy swap Benny for Rabiot
That would be a good busine
Musah, the most expensive headless chicken of the entire planet!
US version of Andrea Poli
Hey look, It’s the same dumb “headless chicken” comment for the 1000th time. Because surely you know more than these professional coaches who want him like Allegri and Conte. And the scouts at Atalanta who seem to do a very good job. If only they were as smart as the comment section at Sempre Milan..
Right, because every coach is always right about every player they pick. Musah has failed under half a dozen coaches. He’s a dud.
You’re a literal mo*on, how could you know? 🤣
Ppl said the same thing about salad
Luigi keeps proving how much he doesn’t understand. Good job 🤣
Napoli don’t think so, Forrest don’t either neither do West Ham and Chelsea. or Allegri for that matter…maybe the headless chickens are in here? just asking?
We should sell Musah and get a better lb/lwb second choice after Estupiñan is Bartesaghi even though on the right we have salad, athekame and Jimenez , unless Jimenez plays on the left cause didn’t we get him last year to be Theo’s replacement . Then we should just keep the money and use it for the new cb or just save it for January
“This price tag is dictated by Musah’s international experience and above all his versatility, as he can play in midfield and out wide…”
One thing is being versatile but the other being mediocre at it. If Tare sells him for 25 or more, he’s a genius. I know it’s a stretch and these guys want straight cash but wouldn’t hurt to try for Scalvini – Musah + cash swap.
Anyone can sell him for 25M. Obviously. Why would anyone be a genius to sell a player half of Serie A + multiple Premier league clubs want? 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t see any money, all I see is media talk.
You want Scalvini a constantly injured player over a young high ceiling player that very good team in Italy seems to want? You’re so desperate for Italians you’d prefer Milan sign an old plate of Osobuco over a decent foreign player 😂
So Musah is a player with high ceiling and Scalvini is an old plate of Osobuco.
Lmao, ok Nancy, I see you trying to get at me because of the other post where you had your pheromone outburst. I’m all for it, for the sake of being entertained but at least make an effort. These kind of comparisons seem too forced and with no logic behind. You can do better.
I don’t care what kind of form or poor season he has, I wouldn’t ever wanna see our players playing in an Atalanta’s jersey unless it’s on a dry loan
Mind you I’m not a fan of musah
So Rabiot coming in. 15M asking price.
Rabiot would improve the team, but seems like his salary may be an issue. Or maybe this latest fiasco gets his salary in a reasonable range.
Musah would have potentially improved under Gasp. Doubt that’s the case under Juric.
Given there is no European football, Milan do look a little heavy in midfield for this yr. So selling Musah makes sense at 25M. But…what happens next season when/if we do qualify for the CL and Modric is one step closer to retirement and we have an exit or 2? We’ll be in the market again for 2 more midfielders. Despite Allegri wanting to keep him, If Milan can get 25M for Musah I’m thinking they will take it.
There are always players in the market. Tonali left we got TJ. Tj left in was Jashari. Stop worrying about next season. When it comes we will find players to replace them.
yes we did get replacements…and we came 8th last season….8th.
6 midfielders for 3 positions is not heavy. 2x players per position is ideal, in fact. Hence 23 man rosters (including a 3rd GK) being the historical right size, which now with 60+ games being played has grown to 25-26 for those clubs involved in European football, etc.
we could give Emanuel Sala a chance!!
ten years old but the training camp was brilliant!!
I don’t like his presence simply because he hasn’t performed! For whatever reason… Bur this ain’t the gift that keeps giving, at some point he has to prove himself & that’s an elusive matter with him. Anything above the sum we paid for him after amortisation is simply a win! Never mind 25-30 mil!! Seriously hope we sell him.
