Atalanta defender Scalvini expecting a ‘great game’ against a ‘great team’ in Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini is looking forward to the upcoming clash against AC Milan this weekend, stressing the importance of having the right attitude.

Sunday night’s game at San Siro promises to be a clash with big implications on the race for a top four spot given that only six points separate Inter in second from Atalanta in sixth spot. With 15 games to go between now and the end of the season the race could well go right down to the wire.

La Dea come into the game off the back of a disappointing 2-1 home defeat against Lecce last weekend but they know a win over Milan would be enough to match Milan on 44 points, with the Rossoneri currently fourth.

Scalvini spoke to Corriere dello Sport about the upcoming game against the Rossoneri and what will be required from him and his team-mates, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“Milan are a great team, it will be a great match considering which will be played in a full San Siro. We are already analysing the opponent, it will be important to take care of every aspect, but above all it will be important to enter with the right malice and the right grit,” he said.
