AC Milan are not expected to sign a new goalkeeper during the January transfer window as the door is shut to their main targets, a report claims.
Mike Maignan’s calf problem has kept him out for longer than the management were hoping and Ciprian Tatarusanu is struggling to offer the same guarantees as the Frenchman, leading to speculation that a new goalkeeper could arrive this month to be the new deputy.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) however, Milan will not sign another goalkeeper in January after Devis Vasquez’s arrival from Club Guarani in Paraguay.
The management have now discarded the idea of adding another player in that department as PSG have in fact said no to letting Sergio Rico leave while Marco Sportiello will not arrive before the end of the season.
The club will therefore continue with goalkeepers available, hoping for an upturn in performance and of course for Maignan to return sooner rather than later.
