Time is running out in the mercato and AC Milan have a few deals that need finalising; one of them is Yunus Musah’s departure.
It has been a strange summer for the midfield. At the start, it seemed Tijjani Reijnders would stay, after words of reassurance from the management. However, he left for Manchester City. Since then, an overhaul has occured, yet it could be repeated.

Reports have suggested that Massimiliano Allegri is a fan of Musah, and only last year, the club wanted to gamble on the American. However, there has been a persistent threat that he could leave this summer.
Musah on his way?
Napoli and Nottingham Forest have been the main candidates, but it now seems that Atalanta will be the ones to get a deal done. Last week, they were turned away, but it seems they are ready to return to the table.
Calciomercato.com report that the Percassi family are ready to provide the funds to Tony D’Amico – who was a target for the Rossoneri this summer – for Musah. Whilst they are not expected to offer the €30 million requested, the figure could be met still.
Right now, the idea is that another €25m bid will be sent, though, they there is a hope to ‘meet in the middle’, pehaps with bonuses.

Selling Musah to buy Fabian is a downgrade.
If Atalanta wants Musah so bad might as well do a swap with Samardzic (dynamic midfielder that Allegri asked for) or add 20m+ cash on top of the swap and get Ederson.
Otherwise, just keep Musah. He is way more useful than RLC.
Éderson would be immense.
I’m not so sure about us needing Samardžić right now. We already have Ricci, Jashari who are supposedly creative midfielders and also Modrić.
If Musah were to leave, I think it would be better if we get a midfielder who can shield the defense rather than a creative one. Modrić was at his best when in front of tough guys like Casemiro, Tchouaméni or Camavinga and I don’t see any of our current midfielders fulfilling that role.
Although Lazar would certainly be better than either Fofana or Loftus-Cheek or Musah.
I was told Ricci was signed to shield the defense because there is nothing creative in his game. Pass the ball sideways and backward is not creativity.
Jashari will take some time to adjust to Serie A.
Samardzic can step in right away and be another midfielder along Modric who will help in creating chances. As it was reported, Allegri wants a dynamic midfielder not a shield for the defense. Ederson would be perfect but I don’t see it happening.
Fofana is good at doing the dirty work and should play deeper, not be allowed to pass the center of the pitch line, and banned from attempting shots on goal.
I don’t know what RLC’s role or purpose is on the pitch.
That’s why I said “supposedly” before “creative”.
Ricci is way higher in the percentile in the passing department than in the defensive department. He is in the very low percentile in the defensive department and let’s face it, his stature doesn’t inspire confidence when it comes to shielding the defense.
He didn’t have any line breaking pass or through ball so far, but he seems to be able to dictate the tempo somewhat and and do some switches and long balls towards the wingers/fullbacks, which is nothing extraordinary but still way better than ANY of what our midfielders used to do during the last 2 seasons.
I don’t know what to do with all of this “Allegri wants this or that”. We already sold some players he wanted to keep, and we brought 2 fullbacks only for us to play a 3-5-2.
Fofana is at best average at the things he’s supposedly good at, and a mediocre shooter.
RLC was good as a support striker under Pioli, once he had to do midfield stuff, he was exposed.
Banned from attempting shots at goal. That’s hilarious! I was even thinking about planting a chop in his boots that produce intense cramps if he attempts to shoot! His shots look like attempts to kill a pigeon not score!
Rumors have it Bologna shut down Fabbian transfer talk.
thats a good thing, i dont want him to come to the club , we need a experienced cb instead of over stocking in midfielders
Honestly, what do we need another midfielder for even if musah is sold? Ricci couldn’t even get minutes and we have 6 guys for three spots. Top cb and top striker to close out this mercato. Harder is not the answer.
Also, last week journalists in Italy are rating milans transfer campaigns so highly putting them as contenders. After cremonese, milan have failed in the mercato. But like I said a good cb to lead the line and a top striker. None of the cb’s we have are on the next level but if you bring in a great cb I can see them stepping up.
100% agree about this, but Milan will earn 10m or more and that is what Milan looks for currently: money lmao
While Musah is no good imo, he is more useful than RLC or Fabian, as two examples. Is management basically just panicking ?
Lookman?
Musah for Rabiot, where do I sign?
we need a CB and a Striker. It does not take a genius to see this. Why TF are we signing another midfielder. What’s gonna happen is we are going to have really poor results, Allegri will get sacked and then we are stuck with players that Allegri wanted and we are going to be in a bigger sh** show then we are already in. I pray i’m wrong
Sell Musah and buy Leoni … oh wait we’ve missed that one..
How about Comuzzo ?
Ultimately we want quality but we’ll end up with quantity. Fabbian is only ok and as most people have commented, we don’t need another midfielder. Cb and striker are more pressing
Musah out. Rabiot In. Fofana and RLC to the bench.
Any word on the sale of Adli and Bennacer? Perhaps some nameless team will pay 20M to 30M for each considering they are much better than Musah.
Lookman *cough cough*
Musah + 20m for Lookman or Scalvini (Atalanta put 50m price tag for each) we need good ST/FW & CB, both is proven in Serie A
