Manchester United are seriously interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna as they want him to provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
As reported by The Athletic in the UK (via Milan News), the Red Devils view Zirkzee as their primary striker target which could be a concern for Milan.
Man Utd are certainly able to offer Zirkzee more in the way of salary and bonuses, and the pull of the Premier League is considerable. That being said, he has been keen to stay in Italy and Milan can offer Champions League football, which Man Utd can’t.
There is also a ready-made position in the Milan team for him after Olivier Giroud’s departure, where Zirkzee would be battling Hojlund at Man Utd.
Man Utd have also shown interest in Lille’s Jonathan David who is an option for Milan, as well as Ivan Toney who plays for Brentford. Zirkzee is the first-choice, though.
Milan have seemed the closest to signing Zirkzee for many weeks but the stumbling block has been the agent’s commission. Kia Joorabchian has been asking for a fee of €15m to help facilitate the deal which is much more than Milan are willing to pay, so a deal needs to be found.
Kia holds off until after the EURO’s. If no offers arrive (which might as well since Zee seems like an afterthought for Koeman) then he actually starts negotiating.
But of Zee lights it up, then bigger clubs come in and overpay by whatever Kia is asking for. That seems to be straight out of the agent playbook around a major tournament.
The ball is in Milan’s court. Decide quickly. Turn this into a Persian Soap, or move on and concentrate elsewhere.

I’d give them 40 mill. Offer 7 million to his agent now. Additional 8 upon renewal of the contract based on performance bonuses during the term he signed for. Next contract, 10% fee maximum can be requested by his agency or the next one to represent him. Give them 5 days to take it or leave it. End of discussion.
If i’ve read correctly… this scheme has been presented…actually with the 10M now which is milans max apparently..we dont know for aure….however…. and the troll agent still holding out for the full 15M

Honestly, there is a part of me that wishes that Man U or whoever else gets it done quickly so we can move on to other targets.
I have no problems with Zirkzee but we can’t afford to waste time like this.
