Athletic: Milan withdraw from Super League following exit of England’s big six

By Isak Möller -

The European Super League didn’t last for long, upsetting football fans all over the world and above all putting pressure on the club owners. In a matter of hours, the competition was picked apart.

Although the situation is unfortunate, as the project should never have been started in this way, it was indeed entertaining to follow the news last night. As England’s ‘big six’ decided to drop out, it all fell apart.

Therefore, it was only a matter of time before we would hear anything from Milan. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the Rossoneri have decided to withdraw from the competition and the other Italian sides are likely to follow.

It will give the fans some comfort ahead of Milan’s game with Sassuolo this evening, and surely the players as well. The game is scheduled for 18:30 CEST and Stefano Pioli’s side will be looking for yet another win at San Siro.

  1. I think the Elliot group owes AC Milan and all football fans an public apology & Ivan Gazidis needs to resign after this fiasco. Then I can finally give my heart and soul to my beloved AC Milan again.

  2. You all just don’t understand, we are just all being sentimental, the real culprits are the UEFA and FIFA, The big Clubs who have made this sport become what it is today’s over the years are dying.

UEFA doesn’t care about the fans, they only care about the money they will lose. Why do they want to increase teams in champions league and World Cup if not because of more money.

Nobody want to lose, these clubs to get what they deserve. They deal with ffp, corona, world economy disaster etc and yet they keep the clubs running, it’s not easy

DO You know that nobody knows the salary of any UEFA staff or FIFA staff? NO Body plans to lose

    i support SUPER LEAGU
