There is a ‘real chance’ of AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur completing a deal for Krzysztof Piatek before the window shuts, it is claimed.
Piatek started Milan’s 4-2 extra time win over Torino in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night but subbed off after 65 minutes and was heavily criticised by the Italian press for his performance.
Gianluca Di Marzio then made the shock claim that the 24-year-old is moving closer and closer towards a move to the German capital as Hertha Berlin have made a €27m offer.
Meanwhile, Louis Girardi is reporting that Chelsea have also made a bid of the same amount as Hertha, but that the player’s agent is pushing for a move to Tottenham.
According to Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic, there are ‘no guarantees’ that everything will be finalised before Friday’s 8pm (CET) deadline in Italy.
However, he has offered hope to fans of the north London club by stating that there is ‘a real chance’ that the deal can get over the line.
