AC Milan are heading towards a vital summer, and interest is present in several of the club’s stars, including Rafael Leao.
Entering a summer window, if not just a window generally, with interest in Leao present is nothing new. In fact, if there were none, it would be a bit of a shock. So, as we approach this summer’s mercato, the latest news about interest in the Portuguese is beginning to filter through.
Interest from Europe’s elite is very much present, and today, DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando has revealed on X that Atletico Madrid have now entered the picture as a potential suitor.
As expected, it seems that their interest is in the very early stages of being known, with the report only stating that an enquiry has been made at present. Which is a standard part in proceedings of course, no one starts with an offer.
This is very much the case here, with the Rossoneri yet to receive an offer from the Spanish giants for Leao. Considering we are outside of the window, though, there is no need to really rush this stage, with the season wrapping up shortly.
It is shaping up to be a very nervy summer already.
This would be a good sale with anything over 75mil. Leao has been great and we’ll never forget how crucial he was but it would be beneficial for both the team and for him. I think lately he became a one trick pony and maybe a new league would be good for him.

geez, i’m guessing you two know each other. I wouldnt say Leao is the laziest, but he is not the most disciplined person for sure. I guess from the point of view of Atletico being a counter-attacking team, he fits doesnt he? Leao is probably at his best running in open space on the counter. Aside from that, he isnt a fit for atletico at all. For the right money, most fans will let him go. Anything above 75/80 would be my number.
