Atletico Madrid set to welcome back key man for Champions League game vs. Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Atletico Madrid are expected to welcome back some key players ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League group stage game against Milan.

As SportsMole report, centre-back Stefan Savic continues is serving a European suspension and will not be available so Jose Gimenez is expected to step in for him in what could very well be a back three from Diego Simeone as he has mostly deployed this season.

Thomas Lemar is back in full training after recovering from a quad issue, while midfielder Koke made the bench against Alaves and could well start over ex-Inter man Geoffrey Kondogbia in a five-man midfield.

Joao Felix is also back in the fold and it is anticipated that he will come back into the attack in place of the misfiring Antoine Griezmann up top alongside Luis Suarez.

Probable Atletico Madrid XI (3-5-2): Oblak; Gimenez, Felipe, Hermoso; Trippier, Llorente, Koke, De Paul, Carrasco; Suarez, Felix.
