The head coach of AZ Alkmaar has joked about the front page article in La Gazzetta dello Sport that linked his player Tijjani Reijnders with a move to AC Milan.
It was reported by La Gazzetta yesterday that personal terms have been agreed in principle with Reijnders, who would earn €1.7m per season on a five-year deal should Milan agree a fee with AZ Alkmaar.
The 24-year-old has been pushing for a move to Serie A as per the paper, while an agreement could be struck with the Eredivisie side at around the €18-20m mark.
Pascal Jansen – the head coach of AZ Alkmaar – released a statement to ESPN Netherlands about the fact his top players seem to be in demand, with Reijnders among them.
“I haven’t seen any white smoke coming out of Max Huiberts’ office yet, so let’s see what happens,” he began (via SempreMilan.it).
“Reijnders’ photo on the front page of La Gazzetta dello Sport? I hope it’s a nice photo (laughs). He has grown a lot in the last season.
“I wish I could work with him for a long time, but obviously I wasn’t born yesterday. I know good players get the attention of other clubs and so we will see how things go.”
It seems that Reijndes and Yunus Musah are the two players that Milan want in addition to Loftus-Cheek in order to build a dream midfield trio after Sandro Tonali’s exit.
Oliver did the ugly purple cap get debunked or something ? as the article seems to now have been removed because when i followed the link for it in my search history it now doesnt show up like it never excisted and its nowhere to be found on the main page as well,
I think its an indication of the third kit color for Milan next season and they were asked to remove it until Milan unveil it. So the third kit to likely be light purple…
Maybe but i wouldnt be too surprised if it is but it will be damn ugly if it follows the look of the purple cap and hopefully we wont have to see it in action more than a few times,
