There was an interesting exchange on social media between Jonathan Ikone of Fiorentina and Fode Ballo-Toure of Milan after last night’s game.
Ikone chose to publish a photo of Tomori’s tackle on him in the second half with the mouth zipped emoji, to which Ballo-Toure – who played with Ikone at Lille – replied: “There’s nothing at all your big head there.”
The winger responded to that with: “LOL that’s a red card straight!” Finally, Ballo-Toure closed the discussion with a laughing emoji and: “It’s over, we won.”
If this was done by Milenkovic, they would be singing him praises, instead he scored an own goal and they are crying about a Fika’s perfect tackle.
Right, I know there’s the anti-Milan element on here that agrees with Ikone but you can see Tomori’s heel hit the ball before or at most the same time as he makes contact with Ikone. At the end of the day it would have been a very soft call in real time and even harsher to overturn it.
