Balotelli laughs as Nainggolan makes claim about Milan compared to Inter – video

By Oliver Fisher -

Radja Nainggolan claimed that one AC Milan player would get in the current Inter side during a live discussion with Mario Balotelli and Emiliano Viviano.

The Rossoneri lost 2-1 against Nerazzurri in the derby at San Siro last week, which meant that they won their 20th league title, and since then the point gap has opened up even more.

During the Controcalcio show, the trio mentioned above discussed the differences between Milan and Inter and how the two squads stack up.

Nainggolan: “I want to ask him a question who is a Milan fan: tell me a Milan player who can start for Inter. One.”

Fan: “For me, Theo Hernandez is stronger than Dimarco.”

Balotelli: “(Laughs) We’ve just started the live broadcast, should I leave already? Come on…”

Nainggolan: “Theo Hernandez? I would choose Dimarco, because he gave me 80 assists and 10 goals. In a team that wins the Scudetto I would choose Dimarco. I don’t see a Milan player who could be a starter for Inter.”

Viviano: “I would say Maignan, even if the Inter goalkeeper is also strong.”

Balotelli: “Yes, I can accept Maignan.”

  1. They are not wrong. And here in lies the issue. People are clamoring for Pioli to be ousted because he’s not up to the task. I ask the question that should’ve been asked, which is: Which manager with this same roster would have beaten Inter to the Scudetto this year? I struggle to think of even one who can get blood from a stone.

    1. Pioli has been at helm for 5 years. 2nd position is not bad but firstly Juve slipped up, Napoli had a bad season. And we have consistently dropped points against big teams, by this time we want to be a threat at least in every Milan derby even if we lose most. But it can’t be all losses. Since we have had the continuity with coach.

  2. Nonsensical discussion. Would Inter need Foden, would Leao, Yamal or Musiala have made the team better or did the season work because of the team and system they had…and everything else is hypothetical. What If….do we even care?

  3. The Problem with todays Pioli is that he is so predictable, same formation, same names and same subs every game. Everyone knows Milan and everyone can shut Milan down… and I think the players also lost faith. You lose to Inter…ok they are better this year but zero shots on your last game and losing to Roma as well… sometimes you just need fresh start when there is nothing left in the tank…
