Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he still follows how AC Milan are getting on and believes the club will get back to where they deserve.
Aubameyang was one of the great protagonists in Barcelona’s 4-0 victory against Real Madrid in El Clasico last night as he continues to put some difficult months at Arsenal firmly behind him. He spoke to the microphones of DAZN at the end of the game, and he spoke about Milan, the team that he spent time in the youth academy of.
“I’m sure Milan will return to where it deserves. I’m following a bit and I hope they stay first until the end of the season,” he said (via PianetaMilan).
Sky Sports actually reported when his future at Arsenal was very uncertain after he was stripped of the captaincy and has been frozen out that Milan had registered interest in bringing him back to the club, but ultimately his deal with the Gunners was terminated and he ended up deciding to try a new experience in LaLiga.
