Barcelona need to find money to fund their planned signings, and Andreas Christensen has ended up on AC Milan’s radar again.
After the arrival of Joan Garcia from Espanyol, Barcelona dream of signing Nico Williams. The sporting director Deco spoke openly about him saying that he has shown interest in the Blaugrana and that the Catalan club ‘will try to take him’ if there is the possibility.
Christensen available
However, considering the economic constraints to be respected, Barcelona are now thinking about who to let go, to make room for new arrivals in the summer market. One of the profiles identified by the club is that of Andreas Christensen, as per Sport (via MilanNews).
As per the report, the central defender does not want to leave Barcelona, but at the same time his situation should be monitored because several clubs are interested in him. Among them, some from Saudi Arabia and also Milan.
The Rossoneri tried to sign him during the most recent winter transfer window, but at the time the player had no intention of leaving. It is likely that the interest is still standing in their eyes, especially give the rumours of departures.

As for the Saudi clubs, the operation seems complicated, given that the former Chelsea player is not tempted by the idea of living in the Middle East. The source explains that the Dane has only one idea in mind: to establish himself in Hansi Flick’s team.
There is a problem for the Dane: there is at present a large group of players in his role, from Pau Cubarsí to Iñigo Martínez to Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia. Christensen made just six appearances last season, and Milan were linked with him when his deal at Chelsea was expiring.
Has he ever been good?
Bang. Average.
Squad player but not a starter (if we have even an iota of ambition remaining)
2-4 million euros top for the transfer. LOL
speculations…
Awesome. Let’s take Barca’s second rate trash so they can sign a top player and improve while we get worse. genius really.
Tell me you don’t know Andreas without telling me you know Andreas.
This would be an amazing signing, he is s fighter, brilliant techniques and can plan center defend and defence midfield.
Whoever is talking trash about Andreas Christensen clearly don’t know anything about him. He has consistently been the best performing central defender at Barcelona ever since he arrived. Only reason he doesn’t always start is due to injuries, hence why Barca wants to offload him. Not that they really want him gone for sporting reasons, as he always delivers when fit. But they have serious wage problems and Christensen is one of the highest earners – They have allowed him to leave for a good offer.
Personally, I’d say Milan should be able to get a cut price for Christensen, given his injuries. He is absolutely worth paying a bit of money for. A symbolic fee of 10m, but Barca really just wants his wages off the books, so we could go as low as 5m and they might take that.
Christensen is that silent authority that Milan is missing on and off the field right now. Good deal if we don’t have to pay more than 5-10m euro
He would be an amazing addition. Experience, fighter, UCL winner, very good in the build-up (play midfield for Barca as well). It will never happen.
Skip, injury prone player
Those who say he is an average player, I don’t know which games they watch. I doubt if he can come back after the injury, otherwise he is an excellent stopper, the kind of leader that Milan needs. Champion with Chelsea. He can play defensive midfielder.
He is better than any DC currently in our squad. Your ignorance tells.
