Romano: The offer that should see Barcelona beat Milan and Bayern to Ajax defender

By Oliver Fisher -

Barcelona appear set to win the race to sign Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui on a free transfer at the end of the season, a report claims.

Fabrizio Romano has told his YouTube channel last week that Milan and Borussia Dortmund are ‘super interested’ in signing Mazraoui ahead of the 2022-23 season as the player has already made it clear many times that he is going to leave Ajax as a free agent.

Romano added that ‘many clubs’ have been in touch with his agents, and it is the notorious Mino Raiola who is taking charge of the negotiations for the Moroccan full-back, but it seems the race could well be over.

According to the latest from Romano, Barcelona’s offer to sign Mazraoui as a free agent is €5m net per season including add-ons with the guaranteed part around €3.7-4m per season. He adds that Bayern are in talks with Mazraoui’s agents too, but Barça are confident they will complete the signing.

  1. this guy would rock serie A, congrats to managment. Not sure what will happen with Barca, maybe they play segunda soon, just a comeback of pandemic and bye bye….
And we should learn from them ….never pay 12mio salary!! then all other wana have 10mios …horrible what IBRA gets..

  2. Mino told Barca management that signing Mazraoui would get them in the favorable position when it comes time to negotiate for Haaland. That is the only reason Barca is doing it.

Of course fat bastard can not be trusted, but Barca needs to learn that the hard way.

  3. I’d prefer keeping Florenzi for three reasons:
    1) No Raiola
    2) Good enough backup for Calabria and can play almost anywhere
    3) Good price/value-ratio.
