Ahead of the Derby della Madonnina, Inter and AC Milan are entering the game in completely different spirits. In an ideal world, at full-time the spirits would be flipped, but it is difficult to imagine for Rossoneri fans.
Despite the 4-0 thrashing of Venezia last weekend, things could not be worse for Milan. There is no semblance of positivity surrounding the club, and it seems that things are near a breaking point for the manager.
As reports suggest, a decision is expected shortly about Fonseca’s future, and one could arrive before the game against Inter with reports suggesting Ibrahimovic holds all the cards, and a dismissal before the Derby is possible.
Nevertheless, the Derby will still happen with or without Fonseca at the helm, and Inter are prepared for a difficult game against their rivals. Following their draw with Manchester City, the Nerazzurri’s midfielder, Nicolo Barella, spoke to the press about the game, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.
Now comes the derby…
“Surely Milan will give us a hard time, as is normal. It’s a derby, it’s an important game for the championship and emotionally, it doesn’t matter how you get there but what you put on the field. We will obviously do our best to win.”
JAJAJAJJA AAAYYY Y BARELLA… FONSECAOUT!!!!!!!!!!! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🇵🇹🤡
Pre-game PR BS. Barella knows this will be a s*itshow and I bet he can’t wait.
Unless Inter refuse to take the derby seriously and just let us walk over them, I cannot see how we can give them “a hard time”.
Barella was either being sarcastic or polite. Polite isn’t his thing so it was sarcasm.
What he does is called lip-service.
Barrella is being polite for once…
Will be like the last few encounters… Inter watch Milan go for it then pick us apart.
At least if we had Conte there would likely be a punch-up in the technical area to enjoy.😆
It’s a shame we are at a point where our bitter rivals are passing to take a dig at us
If Fonseca doesn’t do what Pioli did which was to park the bus and play with 3 defenders to avoid being embarrassed in both play and scoreline, my money is on we will be embarrassed in both play and scoreline.
Defend & counter is where we are strong given our players. Why no one is trying this against strong opposition is a mystery.
They easily held City on their turf to draw. Shockingly they did with “subpar Italians” too.
A shame, this is pure mockery!!
Barella is being very generous and elegant, but the reality is that Inter will smash us. They will win by at least 3 goals.
Being polite and sarcastic at the same time.
