Davide Bartesaghi has revealed that he would be open to playing as a centre-back in the future, despite his rise as a wing-back.
It has been a phenomenal season so far for Bartesaghi, who has established himself as a starting player for Milan despite his young age and despite the competition from the summer signing Pervis Estupinan.

The Italy U21 international seems to go from strength to strength and also got his first goals in Serie A, with a brace against Sassuolo late last year. He has been playing more out wide, but did fill in for once start as a left-sided centre-back.
Bartesaghi gave a long interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he spoke about a number of topics, from his guides in the dressing room to his spell with the Futuro. He was asked about his role in the side, and admitted he could see himself moving back again.
“I owe everything to Allegri and his team. They gave me confidence and helped me adapt to multiple roles. I like playing where I’m used today, as a wing-back, a role I put a lot of work into. In the future, I also see myself in a three-man defence: I’ve learned that versatility is an added value.”
