Bartesaghi starts and Camarda makes senior debut as Italy beat Luxembourg

With the Italian national team’s reset, the latest call-up has interested AC Milan and their young stars were given a chance last night.

Perhaps it was a move to put pressure on the first-teamers; maybe it was a sign that they are not guaranteed spots with the Azzurri. Either way, the latest Italian national team call-ups were very interesting.

With a very young squad and plenty of hope for the future, Silvio Baldini offered a few Milan youngsters a chance to prove themselves, and it has given the Rossoneri a reason to smile, even amid the commotion of everything else.

Bartesaghi stars, Camarda makes debut

Davide Bartesaghi was on the receiving end of a call-up and the wing-back started last night’s game against Luxembourg, as MilanVibes reported.

In fact, he left a good impression on the game with another senior performance. Indeed, this is nothing new for him, though. He has been doing it all season.

Then, you have Francesco Camarda, who was also given his first senior call-up. However, he did not start the game. Instead, he was brought on as a substitute after 75 minutes and he did combine with Bartesaghi for a chance.

However, he could not get his header on target and they were denied a senior link-up, one which has been seen so many times in the youth levels of the Azzurri and the Diavolo…
