Official: Inter’s Bastoni and Inzaghi get bans for derby commotion – fines for Theo and Lautaro

By Oliver Fisher -

The punishments have been handed down by the league after the altercations during the game between Inter and AC Milan on Saturday night.

It was a fiercely contested derby at San Siro that the Rossoneri ultimately won thanks to a brace inside the final 20 minutes from Olivier Giroud, but a number off flare ups that happened on and around the field have dominated the headlines since and now the official verdict has been passed down.

The main news concerning Milan is that Theo Hernandez has been suspended for one game and fined €5,000 for the red card he got after clipping down Denzel Dumfries in the fifth minute of added time at the end of the 90.

The shock news is that Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni has been suspended for two games due to what happened after the game when there were various confrontations, while Lautaro Martinez – who was cleared of spitting on Theo – has been fined €10k and their head coach Simone Inzaghi is suspended for one game.

  1. Anyone thought lautaro would be suspended?? 😂😂Nah boys,it wont happen to the best striker of those thieves…merda inter 💩💩

  2. Napoli is hungry, and we win in either case of that game’s outcome, and they play Liverpool next week in CL, any other time I would like them to have L-Pool kick the shit out of them ,however if Inter wins it means more wear and tear on them over the long run, and we have no skin in the CL anyway, Forza Milan. Drooling at the possibility that we may face In-turds in Coppa final.

  3. I am pretty sure Inter pulled ropes to make only Bastoni suspended. Whilst Lautaro was the most badass there and deserved to be banned.
Bastoni is already heavily injured after the Roma cup clash. He will miss all the games until the end of March, anyway.
So they just sacrificed an injured player to save Lautaro and probably Dumfries.
At least it is good for us that Inter are facing the same problem with injuries as AC Milan have been experiencing for the last couple of years.
