Bayern boss Tuchel full of praise for ‘very strong’ and ‘impressive’ Milan

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he was left very impressed by AC Milan having watched their performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

It was a poor start for Milan as Skriniar headed the away team in front inside 10 minutes, but goals from Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud meant that Milan got the points they deserved for a really impressive display in front of a sold out San Siro.

The result also means that qualifying for the knockout stages is wide open heading into the final two games. Tuchel spoke to Canal Football Club about last Tuesday’s Champions League match between Milan and PSG, offering praise to the Rossoneri, with his comments relayed by PianetaMilan.

“Did I watch Milan-PSG? Yes, because I had a lot of fun in Paris with that team. Milan were very strong, they were impressive,” he said.

“They played with a lot of intensity, but I’m still convinced that PSG will qualify for the round of 16, even if it’s a very tough group . Playing against them again? I don’t really like playing against my old teams, but in a final, yes.”

As we know, if Tuchel had watched the games either side of the PSG one – either the loss to Udinese or the draw against Lecce – he would have seen a different side to the team.
