AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is attracting interest from Bayern Munich, but he is currently deemed unsellable by the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write that the report yesterday in Sports Illustrated is correct: Bayern Munich have a concrete interest in signing Leao. Of course, we are only at the first step of a possible negotiation, which has not yet developed and no offer has arrived.

Tare-Allegri effect
The moment is a delicate one because one season has just ended and another, the transfer window, has already begun. Milan this time moved more quickly than their rivals: they have already chosen a coach and sporting director.
Both Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri consider Leao the first of the unsellable players, or the last of the sellable, and also for this reason the probability that the winger leaves Milan is not high. The new Milan, for them, begins with Rafa.

Bayern and the interested Saudi clubs have a way to get him – namely to pay the €175m clause – but they won’t do it. That figure is way too high for a player who has had too many ups and downs in recent seasons.
It remains to be seen whether it will lead to a tough negotiation, perhaps for double-digit figures, not triple. Leao at the moment remains Milan’s No.10 and the top name of the new era. What will happen in June, no one can know.

Guys, did anyone watch the UCL final last night? I can’t find the score anywhere… Can someone help me and say the score? Was there any goal in regular time? Really struggling here to know who won…
Plenty of goals
If you sell Leao AND Reijnders, that’s two thirds of our offensive output… Puli isn’t going to carry this team on his shoulders.
Other players will take their spots, Pulisic wouldn’t have to carry this team on his shoulders.
If you sell both Leao and Reijnders, that’s well over 100m to sign their replacements.
Napoli won the scudetto in 22/23, finished 10th in 23/24 with the same team minus Kim, and then this season without two thirds of their offensive output (Osimhen, Kvara) and Zielinski, they won the scudetto. Napoli had better players last season, sold their “stars” and improved this season.
Teams win, not overrated, overhyped, selfish, moody, lazy individuals.
BTW it isn’t that hard to find a winger who will give you offensive output of less than 10 scored goals in serie A. People act like Milan is going to have to replace Mo Salah, not Leao.
It’s definitely harder to find a midfielder that will score 10 goals in serie A, but Napoli find one in McTominay.
Do you trust this management to find the proper replacements though?
I don’t trust neither this management nor Leao.
But, I trust them more to find a replacement who will give me the effort, or lack thereof, that Leao gives me and his mid offensive output, than I trust Leao after 6 years to change who he is.
All the reports we read about Allegri wanting Leao to be the focal point, we heard from Fonseca and from Conceição mouths. Both coaches said he can be the best in the world when they got hired. After 2 games in their tenure as Milan coaches, both had him sitting on the bench. Reality kicked in very quickly.

Because Leão has that X factor that no one in our team, not even Pulišić I think, has.
The problem for us and for him is that, as years passes by, this X factor is less and less apparent and relevant.
He is very talented no doubts, but failed to go from a “promising player” to a “great player”.
If it isnt hard then why dont you become the director cry baby. Rafael is the best and you are nothing do you want to sign your mom or something
Buddy, calm your man tits. He hasn’t been anywhere near the best in 3 years. He’s lazy, often ghosting matches, finishing is abysmal, and cant be bothered to track back. Look at Kvara for PSG last night: 88th minute and he still puts in the effort to sprint back and pressure and wins the ball back in the process. THAT is the kind of player we need. Not a lazy mbappe wannabe who cant even be motivated to break a sweat. Either he gets his head out of his own arse or leaves. Stop defending mediocrity because you like YouTube highlights
Kvara didn’t play for 88th minutes, get your facts right, just because u r hating on Leao, so u need to justify your hatred by lieing?
I thought I was the only one that saw his lazy life style ..he has allowed the number 10 shirt to get into his lazy heads..he better go back to wearing the 17 shirt that made him likeable ,,Leao is a liability for Milan…he can leave for all I care ..
Demanding 175mil and not accepting anything less then that will come back to haunt them. Not saying that they should let him leave for 50mil but for a player that had so much inconsistency its not worth passing on like 90-100mil. We changed 2 coaches that hasnt been able to “revive” him. In the end it will be the same story like Bennacer- could have selled him for 50mil 3 years ago to Liverpool and now they wont see 10 for him.
Clueless coaches has nothing to revive
I would rather sell Leao than Reijnders. 80 million would be a fair price and with 40 I would bring Garnacho from Man Utd in his place. With the other 40 million we can bring Ricci plus Caviglia from Venezia.
Seems easy like a career mode
Gotcha, so u don’t watch Man United since Garnacho started playing for them.
All I will say is that I want to see everyone keep supporting Tare and Allegri if we see Leao and Tiji sold because to have all this cope with Allegri and Tare at the wheel and to then sell two of the better attacking players for someone who isnt Italian-because that is what this team is missing Italians. Please don’t switch up on them in such a short time because that will be even more embarrassing than hiring Allegri.
Garnacho has been a C+ player for Utd. My problem with Leão is you need to unbalanced your attack to accommodate him. I think the cost is greater than the reward.
Hell no😂 garnachoke is one of the most cancerous players at that club. Serial ball loser, finishing worse than a dead donkey, and thinks he has the right to play every 90 every game. Keep that garbage outta our club
There is no way that he is leaving. Max and Igli reassured him. If the clown management agrees to eventually sell him, then there was no reason to bring Max and Igli at the first place.
Maybe they want to rejuvenate the team with mostly italian, like Leao with Orsolini, Chucky with Berardi, reindeers with ricci, and so on
Could be, it’s just that I see no point in speaking to a player, telling him that you count on him and want him to stay, just to sell him. This is why I doubt that he will leave and I hope I’m right.
They can’t just sell him without his permission, but if a club offers him a deal he wants and Milan gets a big offer, then something will work out.
I will be the happiest in the world. After some 5yrs, I can’t still see any growth for a player who is to be peaking. Lazy player, lacks stamina, doesn’t do anything off the ball, back passes. When will he be great except for those rare magic moments
Players play different under different managers. When Leao was bagging goals no one was complaining, 1 season under a small team manager, he still has more output than 90% of the league in his position.
He doesn’t have IBra, Krunic, Tonali, Brahim around him, but we want him to carry the team. Other players don’t have these expectations. Let’s watch and see what happens under a different manager.
Honestly I wud sell Leao and keep theo.leao is too relaxed in this team and that way he can’t grow.he needs new competition or we get a young brilliant winger to really challenge him.milan is like his comfort zone knowing fully well he will be used no matter what.lets see how he does under the new manager though.also we really need attacking players with vision in this team
If Bayern show concrete interest then its “on”, i am pretty sure they would cash out 100 mil for him.
I would sell him without blinking twice(and spend that cash on new players who will come back in defence and perform every game not when he is good mood.
Maybe he will fail there too and then we can take him on loan in next season .If Kompany has a tactic where everyone else in Bayern will defend for him walking back in defence he maybe could fullfill his true potential and dominate in german league, i would be really happy to see that even if its not in Milan shirt.
Don’t want to see Leao leave, but I’d feel a little better about this deal if we got Leroy Sane in exchange. This sems like a non-story kinda story though.
Sane is a free agent. His wages are the problem
Leao makes 7m. Sane will probably be ok with that. but wishful thinking. Sane won’t come and Leao will hopefully stay.
Those people who are clamouring for Leao to be sold, I am noting down all your names.
When he is sold and no solid replacement is found you same set of people will come back and say the management is clueless. I am waiting for all of you !
Kiddo, what would need replacing? A lazy winger who with one of the highest walking rates across Europe??? He’s up there with Vini Jr and mbappe for laziest forward on the continent 😂 but at least they somewhat produce, leao doesn’t. He ghosts for 8/10 games. Kvara is the example of what leao could’ve been but chose not to be out of laziness
Wow. Vini is not lazy. somewhat produce? wow again. He is the best right sided attacker in world football. He is a fighter and works hard on and off the ball. Not sue what you’ve been watching.
Leao isn’t suddenly a bad player. He was at his best when Tonali was covering for him, which Tonali was free to do because Kessie was doing everything else.
We lost Kessie and didn’t replace him, Tonali’s role changed, and so did Leao’s output. We sold Tonali…didn’t replace him, and Leao’s output dropped further.
Every player is a different example of cause and effect – some more than others. This whole thing of trying to change Leao’s role is daft. Cover him and let him be Leao or sell him. It’s not up to me to decide which one we do, but if we sell him to a side with a solid foundation I guarantee we will be watching on in horror as he suddenly fulfills his ‘potential’.
If bayern offer 80+ million, it’s time to cash in. For 3 straight years he’s been refusing to put in the effort to perform up to the level he’s paid at. If he cant even be bothered to break a sweat fir this team, he needs to go. The fangirls of his YouTube highlights don’t like hearing that, but they said the same brain dead trash when PSG got rid of neymar and mbappe. How’d that turn out again? Oh ya, they built a REAL TEAM without selfish superstars and now hold the record for biggest win in UCL history. Stop defending mediocrity
