Bellanova admits playing at San Siro is ‘a dream’ after beating Milan

Last night, Atalanta were on the winning side of the result against AC Milan, and Raoul Bellanova has spoken about the game and the experience.

It was another case of Milan not being good enough last night as La Dea beat the Rossoneri by a single goal. A result, which in the grand scheme of things is not terrible, but after a year of disappointment, it serves as another unneeded reminder of the state of the club.

Once again, several questions arise from the defeat, mostly because the club failed to register more than a single shot on target, and the goal conceded was another lapse in concentration, something which has been a commodity.

For many, the issue of mistakes can be overlooked initially, but when the same errors are made every other game, it becomes a real deterrent. Speaking after the win, Bellanova offered an Atalanta perspective on playing at San Siro, via Milan Press.

How much is the victory worth?

“The hugs are the picture of this last period: a lot has been said, but we played two important matches. We have always trained, and work always pays off.”

New role?

“Let’s say I was a bit scared at the beginning and doing it on Leao as a man at San Siro is not easy, but it went well.”

Playing well at San Siro?

“Playing in this stadium is everyone’s dream. These matches prepare themselves for the importance, you have to find balance in the others. We scored perhaps in the most difficult moment for us, after the goal, we were very careful.”

Cuadrado?

“He needs no introduction. Today he helped me a lot both defensively and in attack. He played a great game, we talked all week about their left wing, we managed them, and we’re happy.”

Rediscovered light-heartedness?

“Yes, when you lose three in a row, you lose it. We wanted the win in Bologna, we are back the Atalanta that fights for every ball. In these last two, we have made a leap more mental than technical.”

  1. Can’t believe we chose Emerson Royal over Bellanova, utter incompetency and lunacy, Moncada should be sacked purely for this, let alone Fofana, Bondo, Chuku etc, etc

    1. According to Moncada’s rules, Bellanova is Italian and therefore cr4p. Emerson on the other hand is one of the GOATs of football.

  2. Bellanova > Calabria > Emerson
    Tonali > Pobega > Bondo > Musah
Salad > all WB we’ve in both side
    CDK > Jovic > Santi > Tamy > Chuk
