Bennacer on Calhanoglu’s move from Milan to Inter: “I could never do it”

By Isak Möller -

Ismael Bennacer is getting closer to a return after six months on the sidelines with a knee injury. In a recent interview, he spoke about various topics including Hakan Calhanoglu’s move to Inter, stating it’s something he could never do.

Bennacer has returned to training at Milanello and in the last few days, he even took part in some of the group training. His comeback is getting closer, in other words, and reports suggest that it will be in the middle of December.

In the meantime, the midfielder was interviewed by Instant Foot, sharing his thoughts on several topics. He was asked about Calhanoglu’s move from Milan to Inter, making it clear that he could never make the move to the Nerazzurri.

“I didn’t know anything about it. I found out at the last minute when Eriksen fell ill. Hakan wanted to stay at Milan, but then I don’t know what happened. Maybe they didn’t reach an agreement. We’re friends but on the pitch there are no friends, even more so in a derby.

“I respect him, but when I read about this transfer, I said to myself: ‘No’. I was on holiday, I saw it and thought: ‘He can’t have done it.’ Personally, I could never do it. I respect Milan too much. Inter can offer me what they want, but it won’t happen. I love this club. It doesn’t mean I will stay here for my whole career, I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I will never go to Inter,” he stated.

  1. Yes Isma, we don’t expect you to, at least you’ve got some sense of loyalty. Look at Franck playing in the Saudi League, all but forgotten by everyone.

  2. Who are you Isma.? Inter doesn’t need you. You are not Zlatan, Ronaldo9 nor R. Bagio who played in 3 biggest club in Italia and I never hated them for it.

  3. @Peter
Newsflash: you piece of shInter excreta. Zlatan, Baggio and O Fenomenon all came to Milan and not the other way round. And you can add Pirlo and Seedorf to the list.
