Ismael Bennacer should be in the starting line-up tonight against Empoli and it is an important chance for him to show his value to AC Milan, a report claims.
Calciomercato.com reports how Rade Krunic and Bennacer should both get the nod in the Milan XI in Tuscany tonight, and they are a duo who both wore the Empoli shirt in the season that ended with relegation to Serie B in 2019 only to leave them in the summer to wear the red and black shirt.
The Algerian midfielder very quickly became important for Pioli even if he has not been guaranteed a starting role in recent weeks. Bennacer’s ability to play vertically and to give fluidity to Milan’s build-up phase is a quality that is fundamental in Pioli’s tactical ideas, but in the last few weeks he has been off the boil a bit.
Nonetheless, Bennacer remains important for Milan and the fact he will be one of the protagonists of the Africa Cup of Nations means they will be without him for a month. The first contacts have already been initiated to extend the current deadline expiring in 2024 until June 2026.
A distance between the parties because Bennacer and his entourage want €800k net per season more than what Milan are currently offering, but it is gap that can be bridged and there is not the same urgency as Romagnoli and Kessie’s cases for example.

I hope Ismail Benaser will be always starter for Milan team and Pioli should stop missing up with him mentally and physically if he would like to rotate Pioli should be capable of work in training hard with Bakayoku and if Kessie contract saga will continue he should be sent to the tribuna
Very confident tonight with Giroud playing .
What a underrated player he is ..
He will score goals as long as he remains fit.
He scores goals from impossible angles ,and his technical ability is supreme .He scores goals with right or left foot ,and also of course immense heading ability ,and added to that great strength shielding ball
allowing others to get into good positions.
What a player..
