MN: Bennacer back at Milanello this week – how Milan will treat his return

Ismael Bennacer is set to return in the next month, and AC Milan will see the next step of his return plan come into action this week.

The past two years have been plagued with injuries for Bennacer and after returning from a long setback at the end of 2023, 2024 has, unfortunately, been more of the same for the Algerian.

Since his injury in the Champions League, it has been a constant up and down for the midfielder, and when he has shown signs of returning, there has always been another, higher, obstacle awaiting him, as this season has shown.

Under Paulo Fonseca, he played just one game before suffering another injury, which has kept him out until now, but he has been making good progress and was back running on the field last week, which is only positive.

Milan News report that the progress is set to continue, and he will return to training at Milanello this week from Wednesday where a personal training plan is awaiting him – once the plan has been completed and the medical staff are happy, he will then return to group training.

It seems that the return is approaching, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic stating that it will be like a new signing, the return cannot come soon enough.

  1. Him, Fofana and Tiji – nice balanced midfield. I think with his injuries and the fact that he had to make up so much ground for so many people last year – even his slower version will still be a massive upgrade to where we are now – and finally well be able to go back to a functioning 433

  2. No I will like to see him playing as attacking midfield when will rest pulisic for champions league because benercer we all love you. Because your a phenomenal

  3. Try to give him few minutes in won games so he gets to look good so we can sell him by January and get Frendrup or if we’re amibitious (we aren’t) Ricci.
