MN: New contacts expected but Bennacer is moving closer to renewing

AC Milan held a first meeting with Enzo Raiola over the renewal of Ismael Bennacer’s contract earlier in the week and the hope is that it will transition into pen on paper.

MilanNews writes that Wednesday at Casa Milan a meeting between the management of Milan and Bennacer’s new agen took place, given that the midfielder’s deal will expire on 30 June 2024. Milan have already begun to take important steps to avoid losing one of the pillars of their squad, but there is a gap to be bridged.

There is still a small gap between the offer on the table and the demands of Bennacer, which have always been around the €4.5m net per season mark, both with his old agent Moussa Sissoko and with Enzo Raiola as his new representative.

Milan’s latest bid is €4m net per season which very close to the 25-year-old’s demand so with the inclusion of some bonuses or with further adjustments to his annual salary, an agreement could and should arrive without problems. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are keen though, so decisive action must come soon.
