Yesterday, AC Milan went into crisis as the Champions League question arose once again, with a position in Europe’s premier competition no longer guaranteed.
Despite recent results, Milan have always seemed likely to finish in the Champions League places this season. It was a thing to grasp onto after poor results, but now, the Rossoneri cannot do it with confidence.
Indeed, teams are closing in around them and they are succumbing to the pressure that they have inflicted on themselves.
Berardi haunts Milan again
Quotidiano Sportivo writes how Domenico Berardi bagged his 12th goal against the Diavolo in his career on Sunday, establishing him further as the top goalscorer in the history of the two sides facing off.
Armand Lauriente did not let him get away, though, adding another to his record against Milan, which sees him sit at four for the fixture.
After so long of him scoring against Milan, and even Massimiliano Allegri, you would think that there would be a solution to stopping the Italian in his tracks. However, there doesn’t seem to be.
Indeed, his goal was pretty trademark. A left-footed strike into the bottom left corner, a goal that was coming after his return. Entirely predictable and that is why it was (and still is) so frustrating.
At this point we need to buy him so he’ll stop scoring against us
