CM: Berardi ready to join a top club – Milan sniffing a potential €30m deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo and they have been boosted by the player’s stance, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com report how Berardi is showing himself to be one of the best wingers in Serie A again as he has double figures in both goals and assists in the current campaign, putting his numbers up there with the likes of Mo Salah.

The report adds that he seems to be finally ready to make the jump to a big club because he wishes to compete for trophies in his club career, after winning the European Championships with Italy over the summer, and barring surprises he will leave at end of the season.

Sassuolo do not want to break up the Berardi-Scamacca-Raspadori attack which has scored 32 of their 49 goals in the league, but their main man Carnevali has pledged to let the players make a next move if everyone involved is happy.

Milan are one of the clubs interested as are Napoli and Roma, as well as English and Spanish clubs, but staying in Italy is his priority. Sassuolo could sell him for around €30m given that he is 27, and Maldini will no doubt be tempted.
