A game against Lecce follows on Saturday as Milan look to get back on track in the Scudetto race, and https://tips.gg/football/predictions/ can help guide you if you fancy a flutter.

MilanNews interviewed Mauro Bianchessi the day after the game, in which Giroud secured the crucial comeback victory. Bianchessi is the former director of the Rossoneri youth sector and now does the same at Monza.

Let’s start with ‘your’ Donnarumma…

“What is there to say? He demonstrated, once again, that he is among the best in the world, with a great personality, making extraordinary saves in a stadium that was literally bedlam for him.”

The Milan fans booed him…

“It’s a bit like when a wife is cheated on. I know Donnarumma. I know that he was, he is and will remain a Milan fan. Few know the real reasons why he left.”

What aspects convinced you about Milan last night?

“We had to win to remain anchored to the Champions League train and Milan responded, as only the Rossoneri can do. It’s a question of DNA. Never give up on the Diavolo.”

Leao convinced with an excellent game. What is missing for him to definitively be a champion?

“I believe that Leao is already among the greats. Bad days can happen to anyone. With PSG we saw the real Rafa Leao, the one that Pioli launched and shaped.”

How do you comment on the performance of another player you know well in Calabria?

“I met him as a boy and seeing him play in the Champions League can only excite me every time. It may seem like a cliché, but due to his mentality and desire to get there, I never doubted that he would take to certain stages as a protagonist and leader with the Rossoneri shirt, sooner or later.”

And now? Do you expect a decisive turning point in the continuation of the season?

“I have never doubted, in recent weeks, the value of this team and Pioli. The many injuries is a shame. But Milan have the cards under the table to play. I am convinced, for example, that this season there will be room for Camarda. In my opinion he is ready to make his debut in Serie A.”
