Victor Boniface has now completed his medical tests for AC Milan, including the additional ones that took place earlier today, but a final decision will be made tomorrow.
Boniface arrived in the city yesterday and underwent the usual medical tests, as well as additional orthopaedic tests. As Milan were left with inconclusive answers afterwards, a new batch of ‘in-depth tests’ took place earlier today.

According to Luca Bianchin of Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker has now ‘completed’ all of the medical tests. The focus of the in-depth tests, as he continues, was on the right knee which Boniface previously had surgery on due to an ACL tear.
Decision to be made tomorrow
As of now, no final decision has been made by Milan and they won’t make one before tonight’s Serie A opener against Cremonese. Indeed, full focus is on the game and the Rossoneri feel they must take their time with the decision.
For Boniface, it will be an anxious wait to understand if he’s in or out. It certainly makes sense not to rush into the signing, though, as Max Allegri needs someone who can compete regularly with Santiago Gimenez up front this season.
It’s possible that Milan could shift attention to other targets in the meantime, with Conrad Harder being linked with the club as well.
What a pity. I can only imagine what is going on in the Boniface’s mind right now. If this transfer didnt go throught, it may end his carreer prematurely as no big club may sign him in the future. I pray and hope everything goes well and Milan sign him eventually. He is really a good player as his statistics have shown. Difficult moment for him and all of us who loves him.
I can bet that this is a strategy to get his fees reduced….

I wouldn’t be surprised if the media is blowing it out of proportions even more than it should. I feel like if it was a different player (with similar physical attributes and past injuries) this type of medical exams would be the same but no one would scrutinise it as much as the Italian media has been doing with Boniface. Yet, at the same time, it is worth that the club is thinking about this before pulling the trigger. Remember, didn’t we back out from signing that Spanish player because of previous knee injuries? Worried that this is going to set us back to zero with the atriles pursuit. Hoping all works out with Boniface
Milan couldn’t care less about what the media were saying. They are listening to the doctor, not to the media. This is not blowing it out of proportion. This was based on facts. Tests and signature were supposed to happen Friday. After the Friday tests and listening to the doctor, more tests were ordered for today and the signature was again supposed to happen today after the additional tests. It’s been postponed again which clear indicates that the tests of today did not result in an “all clear.” And now the word is that the “decision” will happen tomorrow, with the word “signature” no longer being used. It doesn’t bode well. This postponing was Milan’s doing, not the media’s.
I anticipate that Milan will not sign him. If things were rosy, he’d be headed at this time to Casa Milan for the signature. Postponing the “decision” for tomorrow and not even saying “postponing the signature” is a hint that things didn’t go well for Boniface. Pity.
To me this looks like they ll try to line up a replacement and If that doesn’t Work out they ll risk it with Boniface.

I doubt this is going through after this. He seems like a great 2nd or 3rd option at a big club, so he doesn’t have to play too many games and he will still score a lot. I’d still like Milan to have this guy on the bench and sign a starting striker but that is science fiction.

Boniface will 100% sign it’s not even in doubt. Hes signing on loan with no mandatory obligation to buy. All they are doing is readjusting the terms. Never in doubt. Here we go soon.

The one thing I’d believe is that Milan no longer want the 1+4 deal that was agreed upon with the player’s entourage, worried about longevity. Maybe we’ll still sign him on loan but with stricter conditions for the subsequent years such as going year by year or conditioning the deal to Boniface’s ability to be available to play for two thirds or three fourths of the season. Milan would be in a strong position to negotiate because if we don’t sign him out of medical concerns, his career is basically over, so agents might want to accept Milan’s demands in order to secure the signing.
What a pity.
I thought this is was going to be a good deal for us, provided that Boniface stays healthy but I guess it’s less and less likely that it goes through.
All the strategy is not for a better deal,the strategy is to get the media off Milan and Boniface backs once he signs. Milan just want to proove that extensive and neccessary medicals are done and the player passed successfully
This will clear all doubt from the player and make the media to look for another target zo attack.

Yep, what I said about stricter conditions could be true. There is now a rumor that due to the medical concerns regarding the player’s longevity due to his right knee, Milan are looking at modifying the loan conditions. This is probably why things got postponed as Milan would have to talk again with Leverkusen and with the player’s agent. This is just a rumor at this point but it fits the known facts that have been made public so far.
Milan shouldn’t have initiated this if they’d start behaving this way.

For all we know he’s done with his checks and is currently fit to play, but Milan will try to leverage fitness uncertainties to lower the buyout price more… They won’t a loan with option on any striker worth a damn otherwise. Even average Hojlund didn’t want it.
Everything is on Gimenez shoulders tonight. If he plays well and proves to Allegri he can start +/- 40% of the matches, the management will be confident enough to sign Boniface who may probably only be capable of playing +/- 60%. If Gimenez fails, they´ll chose a safer option to partner him. I really hope Gimenez shinrs tonight, both for himself and for Boniface. In terms of capabilities Boniface is by far the best player we can sign. And I really hope we can keep Gimenez as well.
