Bianchin on Osimhen’s absence for Milan-Napoli: “It certainly changes a lot”

Victor Osimhen has been working hard to recover for the first leg against AC Milan but it seems the Napoli star will miss out after all. A huge blow for the Partenopei which could be decisive in the end.

In addition to Osimhen, Giovanni Simeone is also injured and will miss out on the game this Wednesday. Luciano Spalletti will have to rely on Giacomo Raspadori, who missed a big opportunity in the 4-0 loss to Milan in the league.

Speaking to MilanNews, Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin shared his thoughts on Osimhen’s injury and what it means for Napoli. He stated that it weighs a lot and ultimately changes what is needed from the Rossoneri.

“It weighs a lot, not only for the player’s value in itself, but also tactically because Kjaer would have struggled to keep hold of him on the long balls. It certainly changes a lot. Milan will prepare the match by imagining that Osimhen will be there but being more or less aggressive is greatly influenced by the presence of the Nigerian,” he stated.

The game is scheduled for 21:00 on Wednesday and although it’s not quite sold out yet, it will be a great atmosphere at San Siro. Ticket sale has only been open for season-ticket holders as well as members, meaning the devoted fans were rewarded this time out.
