Fikayo Tomori could pack his bags and leave AC Milan this month. According to a report, the Rossoneri have scheduled a meeting with Juventus for today, having reached an agreement in principle with the Bianconeri.
Tomori has been heavily linked with Juventus in the last week or so, with Cristiano Giuntoli looking to bolster the side with a centre-back. Reports have suggested that Sergio Conceicao is far from happy with this, but negotiations are still ongoing.
According to Luca Bianchin of Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan and Juventus will have a meeting today to discuss the potential transfer. A basic agreement has already been reached at €25m between the paid loan and the obligation to buy, while bonuses could take it closer to €30m.
The negotiations are currently at an advanced stage and to close the deal, as the journalist concludes, Tomori’s stance will be decisive. He could reunite with his former teammate, and Scudetto partner, Pierre Kalulu but it’s also true that Conceicao has placed a lot of faith in him lately.
Given the injury of Malick Thiaw, Milan would need a replacement immediately and it could be Kyle Walker from Manchester City, at least based on what is being reported.
Good luck. Why would he stay in this mess that cardinale put us in.
They definitely needst to change everything next season if they finish below ucl spot.
And that’s most likely outcome…
I thought Fonseca was the problem. I was wrong. I will also not blame the players. The biggest mistake was to get rid of most of the people who started rebuilding the club. That includes management and players who were shipped out. We were not supposed to buy a bunch of new players and fire management. We were supposed to build on the foundation. The new ownership and the management is the problem.
Fonseca was not the problem. Doesn’t mean that he was the solution lol. We should’ve never hired him in the first place and that’s why the management is to blame. With conceicao at the right time at the helm with players that he wanted we would’ve easily been in top 4 right now.
If it will be sell with obligation, then OK, he can go. It’s good price , he lost his grinta here after scudetto years ( 3 years ago) . But still it’s ridiculous to sell him in January to our main ucl spot rival…
Kile Walker is RB, if we sell Tomori, we definitely need another CD because there will be only Thiaw, Gabbia and Pavlovic…
With those 3 defenders we don’t have chance qualify to next CL
Selling Tomori is OK but not to the biggest competitor who are missing several CBs as we’d be the ones to fix their biggest(?) problem!! Fng ridiculous to help the direct opponent to reach the TOP4 just so we can get 1/3 of the UCL money we’d get if we finished above Juve. Giving them Tomori would guarantee we’ll finish below them.
Yes totally agree 👍… it looks like they don’t believe we can finish in top four and they try to cover the loss from not qualify to next CL… Are they totally blind and really wants only money . It’s great if they earn money, but if we finish on 8th it’s still loss…
Do you not understand the history of Italian football? Transfers between big clubs happen all the time. It doesn’t matter. Tomori is garbage, he’s had one good season. We need the money. No one else is going to come in for him. Also we don’t actually strengthen Juve, a lot of their budget in the summer will go on signing Tomori and Kalulu. Kalulu will eventually get injuries and Tomori will screw up like he always does.
Yes, he is garbage, that is why Juventus wants to spend money on him. You’re a clown.
Have you seen his career? Without Kjaer to hold his hand, he’s been terrible.
“Do you not understand the history of Italian football? Transfers between big clubs happen all the time. It doesn’t matter.”
I do actually. But it’s bloody obvious that you don’t understand how fixing your main opponent’s biggest weakness isn’t such a great idea. Especially when we’d also need to buy a new CB and given Milan’s success in doing that it WILL come and bite you in the 4ss. Remember our previous January CB we bought. The one who played 2(?) matches before was sent to several clubs on loan? You can’t even remember his name. Pellegrino. That’s what we’ll get to replace Tomori. Another pellegrino. FFS…
“Do you not understand the history of Italian football? Transfers between big clubs happen all the time. It doesn’t matter.”
Also… You know a player called Andrea Pirlo? You might want to google him to see how well did the transfer from Milan to Juve go. How did that go in Milan’s POV? :)`
“It doesn’t matter” 😀 😀 😀 😀
Where did Inzaghi come from? He’s just one example. As for Pirlo, are you forgetting we got him from Inter? The same goes for Seedorf. So yes, I know history, you don’t. We don’t have a prayer of getting UCL without reinforcements, that’s why Tomori is being sold.
“As for Pirlo, are you forgetting we got him from Inter?”
He was a bench player in Inter. Not a starter. Oh right, you probably didn’t know that. 🙂
” We need the money.”
What we NEED is to qualify to UCL! That’s where the money is! Donating our starting CB to the main rival makes it 100x harder to reach to UCL. If money is THAT important, you sell them in summer if we haven’t made it to the UCL but FFS you don’t give up in January and start selling your starters to THE MAIN RIVALS!
So your logic tomori is garbage, the club just managing with 4 CB, sells one and becomes short.
And then when a problem arises, there would be a cb shortage. And with the track record of the incompetents in charge they go and bring a worse or average backup. That is if they do. And at that they give Juve a chance to solve their cb problem upping their chances at qualifying ahead of Milan. Tell me are you this slow, or is it just to amuse folks on here.
Oh and you would go but but they have talks with Kyle walker, Kyle hasn’t been signed yet. And even when he does sign he is no longer what he once was.
You never truly learn or change do you. You stick to your dead guns and sink with that brain, logic, deficient ship.
If this deal goes through then I think the managers are not serious in getting the team to where it belongs, they’re only in for the money
It was obvious we are signing walker to sell Tomori. Not against selling him as past 18 months he hasnt been the same player. What i have issue with is selling to a direct rival. We are strengthening our rival. Instead he should be sold to epl team ie newcastle who wanted him in summer. Big question is whether redbird will inject that 30m into our team or bank it as profit which is what is likely to happen!
Seriously juve want tomori?? they haven’t seen tomori performance against them ? Hehe.. very poor marking for CB. I think milan doing good business. Tomori already pass his peak performance, same as Calabria…
Do not read whatever nonsense the people on RedBird’s payroll are spitting out, it’s just another horrible deal. They were slaughtered for the Kalulu deal, yet not only did they not care, but they friggin’ added Tomori to the mix in a similar deal. Calling these pointless wastes of flesh “bad managers” is actually a compliment at this point.
Spare us your stupid, third world conspiracy theories. Sure, Redbird pay a bunch of randos on an English language forum to defend them. You absolute balloon.
Ah there it is thy good old racism.
It can only be a third world country that spews conspiracy theories.
God forbid its a human thing, and actually prevalent in the good old USA the state of the union itself.
The Redbird banner boy defends its people by calling anything that attacks it, a conspiracy drivel from a third world country.
Because only a third world country would spew conspiracy against the mighty egalitarian most honored knight that is Redbird.
The Americans and western world do not have conspiracy theorists. Ah a good day to sniff out Redbird fanatics that also cosplay as the occasional racist.
A truly good day.
Problem at Milan is a management one. It’s now very clear to see. Very hard for any coach to thrive in such environment.
Difficult to make sense of this. I don’t think an experienced SD makes this move, especially to a direct rival.
