Biglia: “I need rhythm to get back to my best, but it will be tough…”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia has admitted that he needs a run of games to find his form again, but concedes it will be tough to break back into the starting XI.

Biglia came on for four minutes of the Rossoneri’s 0-0 draw at Lazio in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg as he continued his return from a long-term absence.

“The team are moving forward, Bakayoko is proving to be a great player,” Biglia said after the game against his former side.

“I’ll do my best for the team. The whistles? The important thing is the minutes I played.

“I understand the fans, I was here for four years. I had some beautiful moments here and some not so good ones.

“This is football. Now I’m defending another shirt and I’m only thinking about that. In terms of fitness I’m feeling great. The surgeon did a great job.

“I haven’t stopped. You need rhythm to get back to your best and I need to play, but that’ll be tough right now because the lads are doing well.”
