Bild: Milan offering €16m as Kone hands in transfer request – agreement possible

Manu Kone has been linked with a move to AC Milan and despite the signing of Youssouf Fofana, he could arrive this summer. According to reports in Germany, the Rossoneri have an offer ready and an agreement is possible.

Kone has just returned from the Olympics with France, during which he did very well, and he’s now focused on his future. Indeed, it doesn’t look like he will stay at Borussia Mönchengladbach beyond this summer.

According to BILD, the midfielder has handed in a transfer request and the German side will grant his request as soon as an adequate offer is on the table. Milan have made an offer of €16m, per the outlet, but the demand is €25m excluding bonuses.

This sounds like a significant distance, as the report continues, but an agreement is possible at around €20m. The likes of PSG, Juventus and Newcastle have also expressed an interest but there have seemingly been no offers from either of them yet.

As for Milan, a few sales would be needed to complete the signing, with a trio expected to leave before the window closes. It should also be noted that there are currently no spots left in the squad, meaning one of the key players like Ismael Bennacer would also have to leave (seems unlikely).
