QS: ‘A bit of everything’ – multiple causes behind Milan’s repeated dropped points

AC Milan were ‘idiots’ this weekend, in the eyes of Massimiliano Allegri. Another two points dropped, it is understandable why he was frustrated.

Milan enter the international break with frustrations once again. Last time, it was the draw against Juventus. Now, it is a draw with Parma, where the Rossoneri will feel disappointed at their failure to get three points again.

Milan enter the break annoyed

As Quotidiano Sportivo write, Allegri’s team play well against the big teams, but they stumble against the smaller ones, as is shown by their two points against Cremonese, Pisa and now Parma.

Unfortunately, it was not just a case of one thing, with the report writing how it was a ‘bit of everything’, from the lapse of concentration and the lack of cynicism in front of goal. The dependency on Luka Modric is showing, and Rafael Leao may not be ready to carry the team on his back just yet.

The greatest teams get their hands dirty in games like this weekend’s, and Allegri was annoyed about his own team’s failure to do that and was vocal on this. It was not a case of individuals, even if some were more responsible than others.

Instead, it is another two points dropped by a team that are desperate for the break. Returns will aid things, and potentially offer much-needed breaks for others.

    1. When you’re already up 2-0, attack is not the excuse.
We’re simply dog sh!t at defending crosses and teams took note of that.

      1. It’s not really the defense, but the midfield can’t help out. We can’t defend because we think our back line of 3 will carry us and win the ball every time. The first Parma goal was nobody stepping to the player, and the second was Fofana not staying goal side of Del Prato.

        1. So? You are telling me that Milan is such a team that if one midfielder makes a mistake the defense can’t correct it? And you seriously wrote this. Check Milan’s last 4 goals and check the guy that was spectating on all of them, along with Fofana. Hint, a defender. You can’t blame midfield for defenders doing NOTHING in most of those situations. How can you end up 10 meters behind a Pisa striker? N’Zola, a player that is slow and can’t score 10 goals per season, never could. Can you explain this? Fofana didn’t allow them to follow? Or what?

      2. Like I’ve said, Rabiot is missing in defense and Pulisic in attack to finish the chances we create. I know he had a miss but he is the best finisher in this team. And Rabiot is a big guy that is great at covering his side, behind Leao.

  1. Teams have learned that they can spam crosses from our left side into our box and score.
We also don’t have an ̶e̶l̶i̶t̶e̶ good finisher.
Most of our new players if not most of all players are so far overachieving thanks to some key players and Allegri, but not sure this is going to last.

  2. The fact that estupinan was solely at fault for both goals together with missed chances which are so annoying, Milan still don’t find solution to defend crosses, nearly all the teams knows this, let us check out how those goals conceded happened.. allegri doesn’t know the importance of creative players in winning games, his substitution shows this all night..when Fofana and Loftus cheek both on the pitch, what do we expect from them..
Hope for the 3 points in the derby after the break..Forza Milan
