Multiple reports are now claiming that AC Milan could soon be taken over by the Bahrain-based Investcorp fund very soon.
The news has exploded today, with Reuters the most recent to report that Investcorp are in exclusive talks to purchase Milan as per a source close to the deal. The source said the deal to buy the Serie A club is ‘close to being completed’ which suggests that things are moving quite fast.
Now, another important confirmation has arrived because according to the reliable financial source Bloomberg (via MilanNews), Investcorp are close to buying the Rossoneri for a figure of around €1bn ($1.1bn).
That is according to sources close to the matter as per the report. The Bahrain fund have already invested in Italy with Gucci, Riva and Dainese and seem to be on a path which foresees them expanding their number of assets under management.
Not keen on money laundering money (like e.g. PSG, ManCity etc.) but if that brings us back to the Champions League finals then I’m ok with it. 🙂
The rules aren’t the same for different clubs now and never will be. Milan has been one of those who have been mistreated compared to e.g. PSG so it’s easy to say that if the money from Bahrain gets the same treatment as the richest clubs, then it’s fine.
Financial FAIR Play my ass.
Hold less in assets than Elliott group. Hope they treat it as a football club wanting progression and not just a toy to say you own. The billions on their books doesn’t mean billions on ours. Elliott I feel are one good transfer window away from success and at least that path is more transparent.
Sorry bud those days are over. Money rules all now. It’s so sad but it’s where we’re at… welcome to the passionless future of football.
A couple of exceptions though. The ones where the owner is a filthy rich person and not a fund or a collective. But yeah, in general… The owners are in it for the money.
I wonder if the people painting it out to be like being owned by a seedy billionaire is the only way to compete have not seen Villarreal in champions league semifinals while PSG has been watching it from home for a while ?? 🤔
Not the only way. Quickest though.
And Milan has done the initial work well. They just need a couple of world-class players to finish the puzzle.
Compared to e.g. Newcastle who might have ****loads of money but are fighting against relegation.
arabs football owners was always the best
just look at manchester city and psg before and after they get arab owner yeah they invest seriously and make great plans by buying famous football players and rising club marketing values just like real madrid did with galacticos
and just like berlusconi did in his first years as owner of milan
Financial FAIR Play was made just to keep english teams at the top and stop anyone try to compete financially with them its a joke of rule if you milan fan you know that
elliott did nothing with milan its maldini who manage to keep us a competitive , just look at winter transfer window we clearly needed enforcement to compete and we had defender injury crisis and they didn’t do sh it
if your milan fan you would be happy we get rid of elliott who has worst repetition around the world
