The AC Milan fans who showed up at San Siro for the Cagliari game knew they’d be seeing Sergio Conceicao’s Serie A debut, but they perhaps didn’t expect to see Bob Murphy Omoregbe’s.
Calciomercato.com have written an article on Omoregbe, an Italian born in Novara in 2003, but with Nigerian origins. He received his first call-up and made his Serie A debut towards the end of the 1-1 draw against Cagliari last night.
He came on for Rafael Leao for the final push to try and get a winner. He managed to create an opportunity with a cross from the right after a dribble down the right side, causing a ricochet inside the box that drew a save.
With Noah Okafor heading to RB Leipzig and Samuel Chukwueze unavailable, Sergio Conceiçao decided to summon Omoregbe. Clear shouts were heard from the coach on the bench after he warmed up: “Go Bob, go Bob.”
The paradox is that the forward has played very little for Milan Futuro so far. In fact, during 2024-25, season, the 21-year-old has amassed 76 minutes in six games with the second team, so he certainly wasn’t the in-form option to call upon.

The report recalls his words after joining in 2022: “My dream? Wearing the Milan shirt, playing at San Siro. When I was in the Primavera I learned that I have to work hard. We played games with the first team.
“Every time it was an opportunity to show off, the hope was to be added to the group, receive a call-up, go on retreat. The Milan players, in particular Tomori, Kalulu, Tonali and Pobega, always told me that only by giving it your all can you get to play in Serie A.
“I listened, I was almost in awe but working with them made me understand that sport is sacrifice, hard work and I feel ready.”
I think he should be integrate into the team, he has pace and play direct football. He might grow to be a threat on the right wing
No holding MF in squad, Ricci signing can change Milan’s style. Temporarily sign Jorginho or Verrati
I have many rumours about Varrati to Milan this winter, let’s see I think him or even Pogba or even Jorginho would be great place holders for Ricci or even squad boost players, they could prove invaluable in the Champions League
Mf ? Why
Yeah spend 35m on a 2nd choice DM, you should join Chelsea’s board of directors.
How did we get to the situation where we’re using two futuro teenagers in serie a?
Does Cardinale really like to use Afri–can players? Was it his direction?? Try to move them ahead of anything else.. hmm
Even though he doesn’t have a good statistics, he might have impressed Conceicao during training, hence, his chance for coming in to replace Leao
That is work of Good coach.kept it up my African brother sky is your limit
I think this was one of those signals where Conceicao is saying to the youth players….if you do well and is showing what he wants, he’ll give you a shot. Remember Bob hasn’t had much game time with the Future so decisions are not based on game time but seemingly utility.
