Boban hopes Milan win another Scudetto but explains how they ‘could do even better’

Former AC Milan midfielder and Chief Football Officer Zvonimir Boban hopes the team can repeat their Scudetto success, but admitted there is an area for improvement.

The former CFO was fired by CEO Ivan Gazidis back March 7 2020 after an unauthorised interview released to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which the Croatian manager revealed that an agreement was in place with Ralf Rangnick to become the new head coach, speaking out against the idea.

In the end the Croatian-born former playmaker could argue that he was spot on because the club ended up sticking with current head coach Stefano Pioli and with the project that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara had begun, which led to becoming champions of Italy last season.

Boban was present at the Gazzetta Sport Awards last night and he spoke to the reporters who were at the event, and he was of course asked about his former team Milan and their success last season.

“Another Scudetto? I sure hope so. When it comes to have a clear, well-defined tactical structure, without changing much, in my opinion they could do even better,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).

“Every Milan player gives 110% every match: there is team spirit, a sense of belonging; it’s fantastic to see them fight, sometimes I would like to see them a little more orderly.”
