Boban says Begovic and Kjaer have made Milan ‘stronger’ and hints they could remain

By Isak Möller -

After making some much-needed signings during the January transfer window, AC Milan have only lost one league game since the start of the year. Adding experience to the team proved to be the right move, as expected.

In addition to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been crucial for the Rossoneri’s turnaround, Asmir Begovic and Simon Kjaer were also brought in (both on loan) by Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini. As mentioned, the impact has been instant.

Although Begovic hasn’t played much, he did really well in his debut for the team last weekend, preventing Fiorentina from snatching the three points on more than one occasion. Of course, given his quality and experience, it’s what you would expect.

Kjaer, on the other hand, has played seven games for the Rossoneri, quickly cementing his place in the starting eleven alongside Alessio Romagnoli. In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Boban praised the two new arrivals.

“Begovic and Kjaer? Nothing to add to what we have seen on the field. They are experienced players who have made Milan stronger, it’s likely that they can do it also in the next seasons,” he stated.
