Bologna star will evaluate ‘opportunities’ this summer as he discusses ‘rewarding’ Milan links

By Oliver Fisher -

Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg gave little away when asked about links with a move to Milan, but admitted they are ‘rewarding’.

According to TuttoBolognaWeb, Svanberg spoke to a Swedish channel on Sunday evening and was asked about the links with a move to Milan that have popped up in the media.

“It’s rewarding when you do something good, but the fact that this has been talked about now doesn’t mean much. The most important thing for me is to keep playing, then at the end of the season we will see what opportunities and alternatives I have. Now I play a lot and I feel good in Bologna and these are the things I want,” he said.

Calciomercato.com recently reported how Svanberg continues to impress top clubs who are watching him, and the most interested spectator is undoubtedly Milan. They added how Svanberg’s name has been on Maldini and Massara’s wish list for some time, but the consistency of performances at high levels has raised his price.

The director duo are preparing the moves for the midfield of the future starting with the summer, and Svanberg is a name that has been “circled in red on the list of goals”.

The the same source cited il Corriere dello Sport in reporting that the valuation of the 22-year-old former Malmo starlet has risen to around €25m.
