Resto del Carlino: Bologna target Milan midfielder but talks with Chelsea are needed

Tiemoue Bakayoko is not having the best of times at AC Milan but he could well be given the chance to remain in Italy, according to a report.

After spending the 2018-19 season at Milan under Gennaro Gattuso on loan, there was talk of Bakayoko even becoming a permanent Rossoneri player. In the end it took until 2021 to see the Frenchman return, this time on a two-year loan, but it has not gone to plan.

Bakayoko is yet to play a single competitive minute for Milan so far in the current campaign as he seems to be at the bottom at the midfield pecking order, and that is why the early termination of his loan keeps being mentioned.

According to Il Resto del Carlino (via Calciomercato.com), Bologna are considering a move for Bakayoko, who is expected to leave Milan in January. The obstacle is represented by the salary that the former Monaco man earns, so a possible negotiation with Chelsea is needed.
