Dominant win for Massimiliano Allegri and his men, after goals from Loftus-Cheek, Nkunku and Rabiot. Perhaps not what we expected going into the game, but it was definitely a nice surprise. Just what Milan needed now.

The goalkeeper does really well to deny Fullkrug a header.
On: Estupinan.
Off: Bartesaghi.
Fullkrug is denied by the keeper after a good run. That probably should have been a goal, considering the time and space he had.
On: Fullkrug, Jashari.
Off: Nkunku, Modric.
On: Tomori, Ricci.
Off: Athekame, Loftus-Cheek.
Milan have stuck to their game plan well, but it’s a bit surprising to see such a deflated Bologna side. Italiano usually makes life difficult for us but it hasn’t been the case.
Nkunku is through on goal but the first touch was a little bit too poor to find a fourth goal there.
Huge mistake from Miranda at the back, sending his throw-in straight to the middle of the pitch (on the edge of the box). The Frenchman picked up the loose ball, heading it into his stride, and beat the goalkeeper with a nice finish.

45 minutes to go, but you would expect Milan to see this out from here, considering the two-goal lead. Perhaps Allegri can even make some changes to save some energy.

For once, a good first half from Milan with decent defending and efficiency in attack. Bologna didn’t really threaten that much, it has to be said, and the Rossoneri did a great job of frustrating Vincenzo Italiano’s men too with their possession.

He won it, he scores it! After sending both of his previous penalties to the goalkeeper’s right, he decided to switch sides this time. Very calm penalty and just what Milan needed here.

Loftus-Cheek finds Nkunku in the channel and the Frenchman is brought down by the keeper. Clear penalty!
Milan have defended well so far, and while the build-up play hasn’t resulted in loads of chances, they have often managed to keep hold of the possession and thus frustrate Bologna in their press.
Fofana won the ball back, played it out to Athekame, and the wing-back found Nkunku in the box. Rabiot picked up the rebound from the Frenchman’s header and found RLC in a good position. This time, he made no mistakes with the finish.

Nice attack there from Milan. Athekame with the cross from the right and Fofana heads it just wide.
So far, it’s been a pretty calm start to the game. Milan definitely should have been 1-0 up with that RLC chance, but not much has happened aside from that.
That’s truly horrendous from Loftus-Cheek! Nkunku put him through on goal and he tried to round the keeper, but that might just be the worst attempt I’ve ever seen…
First dangerous chance goes to Bologna, following a low cross from the right-hand side that no one got a touch on in the end.

RLC is useless… I keep saying that he is just there for us to have 11 players on the field, but it’s actually 10v11 against us every time
We have Rabiot, Jashari, Bondo, Fofana and Ricci for 8, Modric is our only 6…

And now he set up Nkunku for a penalty. To be brutally honest what I have seen from Nkunku and RLC togather is better than what I have seen from Leao and Pulisic as a pair.

our worst lineup is our best first half in this season i think. hopefully fofana and rabiot are subbed off as theyve hada great game apart froom rlc miss i dont seen anyone doing under a 6.5 right now. Leao has to come on last 20 minutes and get a goal against this defence tehy wont catch up with his pace

Good game so far, what we learned is that Leao should not be played as a striker and NKUNKU is much better when playing without him

I was concerned when I saw the line-up with RLC, Nkunku and Fofana, thinking, who will score? It turns out that Nkunku and RLC both did!
So far, so good; I just hope Allegri doesn’t tell them to park the bus and Bologna edges back to tie 2-2. We need to keep possession and keep pressing.

Worst Bologna in these years. Since we lost the Coppa Italia to them, it really tells you a lot about this team’s growth thanks to Allegri.

I’m honestly really surprised Bologna imploded this badly. Usually they’re a better team.
No matter how this season turns out there is no doubt that Allegri is world class. Love him or hate him but with this squad what this man is doing is outrageous.
Allegri has superb player management skills and is very tactical. Thin squad, but I think we have the players to produce the goods… if the team is managed correctly.
not gonna lie and I can’t believe I’m saying this but RLC and Nkunku look to be the best pairing so far this season
i think thats more of bolognas defence today than their set skills. but i agree todays outing was the best 60 minutes apart from maybe the napoli match i have watched . i feel as pulisic fulkrug was better but puli was quite bad in those chances he got
I feel a bit bad for Bologna, but we needed the three points. Not sure what happened to this team… they were once great… and they simply imploded today. That third goal was a comical error.

Either way, we did well in all aspects. And could have had a fourth goal towards the end there.
