Giacomo Bonaventura spoke about the Scudetto fight that sees his former team AC Milan battling with current champions and rivals Inter.
Bonaventura played for six years with the Rossoneri and became a fan favourite due to repeatedly making it clear how much he loves the club, and his performances on the field were a shining light among some dark moments in the mid-2010s.
He spoke at the end of Fiorentina’s game against Roma during which La Viola emerged 2-0 winners thanks to his goal in the 11th minute that doubled the advantage, and he was asked about the Scudetto fight that sees the Rossoneri contend for the title with Inter.
“If Milan are there it’s because they deserve it. Now there will be a lot of pressure, I wish them the best,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).
It is perhaps no surprise that Jack is rooting hard for his former team-mates, many of whom he shared a locker room with given that he only departed in the summer of 2020.
never forget the moment when Jack was all alone and emotional on pitch after his final match
I still clearly remembered how he’s alone on the pitch and crying, still a little bit angry that we didnt extend him for at least a year.
this guy deserve all the loves from Milan fans as much as a legend like Maldini. He gave his all to Milan until his last day with us
We will always love you Jack!!!
