Boost for Milan, blow for Man Utd as agent of €50m star admits move abroad will be difficult

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have seemingly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali as his agent has seemingly ruled out a move abroad.

There has been speculation from numerous outlets throughout the week suggesting that the Rossoneri are ready to make their move for Tonali and try snatch him from Brescia.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier today that Milan are firmly in the race to land the 19-year-old along with Juventus and Inter, as Elliott Management believe he is a talented young player with an incredibly bright future who could be a cornerstone of their youth project.

In addition, the outlet even claimed that Milan are ready to offer one of three counterparts plus a cash sum in order to get the deal done and secure the perfect partner on paper for Ismael Bennacer.

Tonali’s representative Giuseppe Bozzo spoke to the Tuttomercatoweb.com network about the current situation regarding his client.

“How can you talk about the market now? I have an agency that also makes international transfers. Meetings in Monaco, London, Madrid,” he said.

“What sense? How do you think about a transfer abroad now? You don’t know what happens in France, Spain, England. We can’t do anything, in fact. Yes,  the certificates of esteem are there as before, but nothing concrete. How do you move a player abroad when there is no definitive solution to the virus?

“There is a family behind the boy, who has to move. And if every time you have to move you have to quarantine, how do you do it? And you too, as an expert, how do you do it? Today you don’t work on it. Wait and see. And hope.”

Liverpool and Manchester United among others have been linked with a move for Tonali, but earlier in the week he confirmed that he is still a Milan fan just as he has been since he was young.
